Akamas Peninsula with Fontana Amoroza Bay
Our tour begins with a drive through and photo stop at Coral Bay followed by the Natural Sea Caves of Peyia via banana plantations. And on to to the small fishing harbour and church of St George.
We next stop at Avakas Gorge where flora and fauna indigenous to the area can be seen and many migrating birds can be spotted( walking is optional and weather permitting)
Next we take in the scenery of the Akamas national conservation park, arriving at Lara Bay, the only beach in the Mediterranean renowned for its Greenback turtle conservation programme, where between June and September there are many successful hatchings, some of which can be seen.
We continue your adventure with a drive to the Viewing point from which the entire Western Peninsula can be seen.
On to the Baths of Aphrodite, where a local taverna is serving a variety of lunch options*
Our afternoon will take us to the famous Fontana Amorosa bay (blue lagoon), where you will have the chance to sunbathe, swim and snorkel in some of the clearest and bluest waters of Cyprus.(During winter or times of inclement weather when this part of the tour is not appropriate alternate items will be offered including a visit to a local winery, cultural centre & museum)
Pick up and drop off at your hotel is included within Paphos area, pick up from other areas at a supplement. Essential things to bring: Suncream, towel, swimwear, suitable footwear for those wishing to walk in Avagas gorge.
